What’s this Earth Hour we speak of?  Earth Hour (http://www.myearthhour.org) was started by World Wildlife Fund and has become a global initiative to raise the awareness of climate change.  Last year over 1 billion people in 4,000 cities across 87 countries showed their support during Earth Hour by turning off their lights and non-essential electronics for 1 hour.  So this Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 8:30 PM use candles, solar powered lights or just sit in the dark but make sure you TURN OFF THOSE LIGHTS!

TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED FAUCET LIGHT - THE FUN IN FUNCTIONAL!

We love selling our crazy fun products at PerpetualKid.com!  Sometimes we focus so much on the fun that we forget all about the functional side of our products and every once in a while it’s nice to get a heartwarming reminder.

The other day our customer service department received a very nice letter from a lady raising her disabled child.  She had recently purchased several of our Temperature Controlled Faucet Lights, enough for every faucet in her home.  Most customers purchase this product because it’s just plain cool but she had a completely different motive.

Her son is able to reach the faucets and understands hot and cold but unfortunately sometimes he confuses the hot and cold handles.  By placing the Temperature Controlled Faucet Lights on all of her faucets she has taught her son to wait for the color before putting his bare hands under the water stream.  Blue (cold) is good while red (hot) is not.   

We just love hearing stories like this and we think it’s definitely one worth sharing.  The Temperature Controlled Faucet Light is a fun product for most of us but for those of us dealing with small children or special circumstances it can be a very useful tool as well!

Even non-neat-freaks are neat-freaks about something.  You might have the ability to live in squalor and never clean up but maybe you find it impossible to shower unless it’s been scrubbed down thoroughly beforehand.   We all have our weird cleaning quirks!

Earth Day is coming up fast, are you ready?  It used to be that Earth day was simply a day for the earthy crunchy hippies of the world to promote the planet and what we can be doing to preserve it.  We didn’t understand back then those hippies were really onto something.  

Now with the promotion from celebs, politicians, and scientists… well, Earth Day has come a really long way.  We’re all in on the act now.  We watch TV networks devoted to being green; we drive hybrids and electric cars in the hopes of saving the air from carbon gas.  Isn’t it safe to say that now we all have a little hippie voice somewhere deep down inside us telling us we need to save the Earth?  We can ignore it but it doesn’t seem that this trend will end anytime soon!  Get motivated!
