While flipping through the channels last night, it occurred to us that 3 different episodes of the Law & Order franchise were airing at the same time. Not only that but we can often find repeats of NCIS, one of the many C.S.I.s, Criminal Minds or one of the many cable cop/lawyer shows at any given time. Beyond that we have new cop shows like Southland and then let’s not even get INTO all the true-crime channels.

What is the fascination with crime and criminals on TV?
