We always have the best of intentions when we set out to bake someone a birthday cake. We have it all pictured in our head, how we’ll layer it, how we’ll ice it, how the decorations on top will be so spectacular everyone will be begging us to make their birthday cake too! Seriously, in our head there is no way even the professionals could top our skills.
Of course that’s before we actually make the cake. Granted, some are meant to be bakers; others (like us) are not. Whether we make it from scratch or from a box the cake never quite comes out the way we want it to. If we’re lucky the layers stack up evenly and don’t resemble the Leaning Tower of Pisa but most of the time we find ourselves adding WAY more frosting just to make it appear level. And let’s not even get into the decorations… they never seem to look the way we want them too. (Let’s not talk about the time we spelled Birthday incorrectly….) We’d probably be better off saying our kids made the cake – at least then it would be slightly (but not really) impressive.
FINALLY someone has made it easy for us! Our Birthday Cake Mold is simple, no layering necessary (unless you want to get fancy and to that we say – good luck!). The words Happy Birthday (spelled correctly – we might add) are built into the mold. We’re pretty sure we might still find a way to screw it up but with the Birthday Cake Mold it’s virtually impossible!
